Boundaries are like healthy food – we know we need them, but we find it so hard to stick to. But if you change your mindset around boundaries, you can experience a different level of harmony in your life.
I’m quite passionate about having boundaries, and guiding others to have them too. Because they make like better for everyone. The main challenge that we have with them is to know what we really need and to give ourselves permission to bring that ahead of other people’s demands. It’s tough, in a world of people-pleasing conditioning and not wanting to upset anyone.
So I flip the thinking on its head in this conversation. To where you feel you deserve to take care of your needs first. And then we dive into where boundaries are needed in your life, plus how to communicate them.
In this episode you will hear:
- What a boundary really is, and what it’s not
- Why we find it so hard to come up with them and stick to them
- The truth about the need to love yourself first
- The distinction between boundaries with yourself vs. those you have with other people
- How to concretely set them up to be effective
You will leave with a new perspective on boundaries, and I hope a newly found inspiration to set a couple in your own life. This will be really empowering.
Please share this page or episode with a friend or colleague, so they can learn about setting up boundaries for themselves too.
