I discovered a new, better way of dealing with our negative self-talk. A way to allow our imperfections. They used to slow me down, make me not take action, hide or simply avoid what I wanted to do. Not anymore. And I want to share this new lesson with you.
In this episode I start with covering how we are all judging ourselves all day long. We all have a mean girl. I even share examples of my own, because we need more compassion amongst each other. I explain how our mean girls stem from our ‘good girl’ conditioning that keeps on being drummed into us. And it is simply not realistic for us human beings.
So what is the solution? It is not about ‘fixing’ ourselves. Instead, it is about making full allowances for our imperfections. To recognise them as being fundamental part of our being, and not taking away from our worthiness.
You will hear how it is possible to both feel a negative emotion about ourselves, and still generate positive feelings anchored in self-love. I give you example of reframes you can use so you don’t get stuck with your mean girl and keep some energy to take action.
In the last part of the podcast, I give you concrete examples of how to apply this new concept to your own life.
Please share this episode with people who hold high standards for themselves or don’t feel like they are doing enough. That’s a lot of us! It doesn’t have to be this way. This new insight was an absolute game changer for me, with regards to the way I feel daily about myself.
