You may not be a single parent, but read on. What I’m sharing here applies to ALL parents. These are insights I wished I had had years ago when in my relationship.

As I celebrated 1 year living on my own a single parent, I looked back on all the lessons that year has taught me. And there were plenty. Talk about personal growth – when life throws challenges at you. Not all were easy lessons, far from it. But I’m so much wiser and happier for them.

I think the belief that parenting – and many other life experiences – are different based on your marital status is erroneous. The idea that as a single parent you have less, or you struggle more isn’t totally true. I show you how in this podcast, as I illustrate with concrete examples from my life.

In this episode, you will learn:

  • Why solitude is a gift we all need
  • How not to take for granted the possible help you get
  • How important it is to have things the way you life, single or not
  • Where love comes from
  • The opportunities for play and emotional regulation that comes with our children

You will leave with a deeper understanding on how to parent, and also be fully yourself whether you are in a relationship or not.

Please share with all your friends and relatives who are parents. Maybe also with those who are single parents, or considering a separation. I hope it brings them inspiration, wisdom and the courage to live life on their terms.
